Hydrogen Raman laser for high-energy femtosecond pulse production at 1.28 µm

Abstract

We present high-energy pulses at 1.28 µm by stimulated Raman scattering in hydrogen using a pair of chirped pulses. The Stokes pulse carries record-high energy of 4.4 mJ and was compressed to 80 fs.
