Impulsive Stimulated Raman Scattering by Attosecond Pulses

Abstract

We present theoretical results for creating superpositions of valence excited states through impulsive stimulated Raman scattering by a broad bandwidth laser pulse. We also present our experimental method to produce high intensity isolated attosecond pulses required to drive this process.
