Verification of nonadiabatic orientation of CO molecules with a femtosecond two-color laser pulse studied by high-order harmonic generation and Coulomb explosion imaging

Abstract

The actual degree of orientation <cosθ> of CO molecules pumped by a femtosecond two-color pulse is found to be much lower than the value estimated by the intensity ratio between the even- and odd-order harmonics.
