Abstract

By using femtosecond pulses in the mid-infrared, we resonantly excite an infrared-active phonon mode in the high-temperature superconductor YBa2Cu3Ox. The electronic properties of the driven state, probed with ultra-broadband time-domain terahertz spectroscopy, are highly unconventional.
