Spin dynamics excited with mid-infrared femtosecond laser pulses

Abstract

We have studied the spins and charges dynamics of ferromagnetic thin films excited with ultra-short mid-infrared laser pulses. We show that the demagnetization still occurs even for small perturbations around the Fermi level.
