Tracking Ultrafast Chemical Reaction Dynamics Using Transient 2DIR Spectroscopy

Abstract

Phototriggered reactions can be monitored in real time with bond-by-bond structural selectivity using multidimensional IR spectroscopy as a probe. We have applied this powerful approach to photoproduct orientational relaxation and geminate rebinding reactions.
