Vibrational Energy Transport in Peptides and Proteins

Abstract

We investigate the vibrational energy flow in 310-helical peptide structures. Several local heaters reveal very similar results, indicating that energy randomizes very quickly. Nevertheless, intra-site IVR slows down vibrational energy transport on the picosecond timescale.
