Abstract
Three-dimensional infrared spectroscopy (3D-IR) of isotopically substituted liquid water reveals heterogeneous dynamics on the 500–700 fs timescale. We attribute this behavior to local differences in the timescale of hydrogen-bond network rearrangements.
