Fulgides: Efficiency of the Ring-opening Reaction Tuned by Optical Pre-excitation

Abstract

Multipulse femtosecond absorption experiments show that the quantum efficiency for ring-opening of indolylfulgides is strongly increased when a ring-closure reaction precedes by only a few picoseconds.
