X-Ray Powder Diffraction with Femtosecond Time Resolution

Abstract

Transient electronic charge density maps with 30 picometer spatial and 100 femtosecond temporal resolution derived from Debye Scherrer experiments unravel for the first time a concerted electron and proton transfer in hydrogen-bonded (NH4)2SO4 crystals.
