Femtosecond Dynamics of Fano-resonance in Zn

Abstract

We have studied transient reflectivity dynamics in Zn by femtosecond spectroscopy. At high excitation densities coherent phonon spectra exhibits strongly asymmetric lineshape, attributed to Fano interference due to coupling of phonon to electronic continuum.
