A Femtosecond IR and Raman Look on a Nucleophilic Addition in the Electronic Ground State

Abstract

A highly reactive ketene intermediate is formed in its electronic ground state via photo-induced hydrogen transfer in 400 fs. The mechanistic details of a nucleophilic addition to this ketene are revealed by femtosecond vibrational spectroscopy.
