A New Class of Ultrafast Photoswitchable Chromopeptides

Abstract

Photochemical properties of a new ultrafast photoswitch (hemithioindigo-based) are investigated by transient absorption spectroscopy. The applicability as a trigger molecule for fast structural changes in small peptides is tested on a biologically relevant structure.
