Coherent control of molecular fragmentation using binary phase shaped femtosecond laser pulses

Abstract

We report on order-of-magnitude control of the relative yield of photofragment ions achieved with binary phase shaped femtosecond laser pulses. We discuss trends observed related to selective enhancement or suppression of fragment ions.
