Dynamics of Photoexcited Carriers in Heavy-electron Systems

Abstract

We have studied the photoexcited carrier dynamics in Kondo insulator and heavy fermion metal. The data suggest that carrier relaxation in both classes is governed by the presence of a hybridization gap in the DOS.
