Abstract

Femtosecond two-dimensional infrared spectroscopy is applied to the amide I modes of homo-octapeptides Z-[L-(αMe)Val]8-OtBu and Z-(Aib)8-OtBu in several organic solvents. Distinct cross-peak patterns that discriminate between 310- and α-helix structures are obtained.
