Light propagation control in photonic crystal slabs

Abstract

Recent progress on components consisting of PBG waveguides and resonators in SOI photonic-crystal slabs are reviewed. By combining low-loss waveguides and high-Q resonators, we have designed and fabricated multi-port devices: resonant-tunneling filters and channel-drop filters.
