Abstract

Formation and decay mechanisms of photoinduced nonlinear vibronic excitations (“breathers”) in conjugated polymers are studied using quantum-chemical excited state molecular dynamics approach. Possible correlated electronic and vibrational spectroscopic signatures of photoexcited breathers are predicted.
