Abstract

120 pJ and 300 fs pulses from an Er-fiber oscillator are amplified up to 1.8 mJ of energy (~70 dB gain) and up to 2.8 W of average power after a single-pass through 2 cm long periodically poled LiNbO3 (PPLN) crystal in a diode pumped parametric chirped pulse amplification system.
