Time-resolved x-ray measurements of polaron dynamics of charge-ordered Nd12Sr1/2MnO3

Abstract

We report the first direct observation of polaron dynamics in a charge-ordered colossal magnetoresistance material. The excitation and relaxation of lattice distortion coupled to charge- transfer transitions are observed using time-resolved x-ray diffraction.
