The Relaxation Process of Polydiacetylene in Its Excitonic States Studied by Time- and Frequency-Resolved Femtosecond CARS Spectroscopy

Abstract

Frequency-resolved femtosecond CARS was applied to polydiacetylenes to study ultrafast relaxation processes. The geometry relaxation of the backbones from free excitonic (FE) to self-trapped excitonic (STE) states and dephasing in STE states are observed.
