Abstract

Full electronic control of the carrier-envelope phase in a train of sub-6-fs laser pulses has been achieved with simultaneous reduction of the pulse energy noise to unprecedented levels. Few-cycle femtosecond optical waveforms can now be synthesized with precisely reproducible electric and magnetic Fields.
