Size and surface dependence of ultrafast carrier dynamics in CdSe quantum dots determined by fluorescence upconversion spectroscopy

Abstract

Dynamics for band edge and surface emission in CdSe nanocrystals were determined for sizes ranging from 27 Å to 72Å. The surface emission appears within 2 ps, corresponding to holes trapping at surface Se states.
