Abstract
Optical clock recovery is essential for future ultra-high speed OTDM systems to perform synchronous operations such as demultiplexing and regeneration. Sub-harmonic clock recovery at network nodes or receivers is important to allow such operations on individual channels. Different techniques have been reported on sub-harmonic clock recovery. Such as, interferometric switches based on SOA [1,2] or MZI [3], also RF driven Electro-Absorption Modulators (EAM) with electronic mixer [4].
