Abstract

Rapid identification (<1 hour) of the bacteria methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus and Histophilus somni are demonstrated using an ionic self-assembled multilayer (ISAM) film deposited on the surface of a long-period grating (LPG) optical fiber.
