Abstract

The design of the actuator layout for a 1.5-meter scale deformable optics which can be reflective or diffractive was performed applying the finite element analysis in ANSYS®. A genetic algorithm was used to optimize the locations of individual actuators. The optimization process, criteria, and an optimized design along with its performance will be presented.
