Nanoparticle Scattering in Thermoelectric Transport

Abstract

We calculate the scattering cross section of the electron-nanoparticle collision using the Born approximation and the partial-waves technique. Results show that the Born approximation leads to incorrect thermoelectric transport properties for electron energies comparable to and lower than the nanoparticle barrier height.
