High-performance Biomolecular Sensor Employing Nanophotonic Structures for Passively Trapping Analyte Molecules at Sensing Hotspots

Abstract

We demonstrate a high-sensitivity mid-infrared molecular absorption spectroscopy- based biomolecular sensor, which employs nanostructures for passively concentrating and trapping analyte molecules in a drying solution to photonic hotspots where optical fields are highly enhanced.
