Abstract

This talk will review, in the technological context from the past to the future, the ten-year activities of a Japan’s national project called “VICTORIES” that started in 2008 to create a fundamental solution to the capacity and energy crunch of the network through the vertical integration of network resource management and optical-layer switching.
