Passive Ring Resonator Integrated Optic Gyro Based on Optical Beat Detection

Abstract

A passive ring resonator integrated optic gyro based on optical beat detection is proposed and demonstrated for the first time. A long-term bias stability of 5×10−3rad/s is achieved using a silica waveguide ring resonator.
