High Sensitivity Refractive Index Measurements Using Tilted Fiber Bragg Gratings

Abstract

Tilted fiber Bragg gratings with different tilt angle were fabricated for the measurement of surrounding refractive index (SRI). The resonance wavelength of cladding modes found to disappear gradually is linearly increased with the increasing SRI.
