THz Parallel-Plate Waveguides with Resonant Cavities

Abstract

We characterize the terahertz resonance due to a cavity inside a parallel-plate waveguide, and discuss its use for refractive index sensing. Inside the waveguide, we observe a broadband field enhancement associated with this narrowband resonance.
