Abstract

This paper is dedicated to the lifetime prediction of GFF monofiltres. First we used the master curves derived from elementary (no tilt, no chirp) FBG written in different conditions. Then we did the ageing of the refractive index profile (both in the core and in the photosensitive cladding). Finally we recalculated the spectral response of GFF after ageing and we compared it to experimental measurements. In addition we validated our prediction by building a new master curve using passivated components. A less general spectral prediction approach based on passivated GFF is also presented. This last method is more representative of the final products.
