Recovery of Myosin Filament Positions in Muscle Electron Micrographs

Abstract

Location of myosin filaments in electron micrographs of muscle cross-sections is difficult because of contrast variations and noise in the images. Two algorithms that incorporate a priori information, in the form of lattice regularity, in the solution in different ways are described and compared.
