Quantum image processing

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Advantages of imaging with nonclassical light include the reduction of quantum noise (squeezing) and the availability of quantum interference for multi-color coherent processing. Quantum entanglement can be used for absolute (no calibration) measurement, and for distributed imaging. It offers possibilities for accessing information that is not retrievable by ANY classical optical means. This talk is an overview of the field of quantum imaging and image processing.
