Combining Filtered Antipodal Signaling and Optical Equalization for Extended-Reach Access Networks

Abstract

We demonstrate the transmission of 25 Gb/s filtered antipodal signaling with optical equalization in extending fiber link distance by more than a factor of two over conventional non-return-to-zero signaling with only 1 dB power penalty.
