To Twist or Not to Twist: Capacity Limits for Free-Space Channels

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

We show that orbital angular momentum (OAM) multiplexing does not realize the capacity limits of free-space channels. To approach the capacity limits, one should multiplex in a complete modal basis for the free-space channel or in parallel Gaussian beams.
