Abstract

Using a feedback signal from the receiver, the state-of-polarization of a transmitted 140 Gbit/s DP-QPSK signal is optimized to mitigate the effects of PDL. The ability to track changes in the signal state-of-polarization is assessed using quasi-real-time measurements.
