Low Complexity Multichannel Nonlinear Predistortion for Passive Optical Networks

Abstract

Multichannel, digital predistortion for nonlinearity in a single span (80 km) optical transmission system is investigated. The technique is verified in experiment and simulation for 3×3.125 GBd QPSK subchannels, realising a 4 dB power budget increase.
