Nonlinear Crosstalk Mitigation in Superchannels Using Unequal Subcarrier Spacing

Abstract

We propose a novel technique to mitigate nonlinear crosstalk in superchannels by allocating wider spacing between center subcarriers compared to the edge. We demonstrate that it can equalize subcarriers performance and extend reach by 15%.
