Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate an optical constant envelope OFDM system based on electrical phase modulation. We transmit 1.4 Gbps data onto 16-QAM symbols in 500 MHz bandwidth. Our system shows good tolerance to the optical modulator intermodulation effects.
