Challenges for AlGaN Based UV Laser Diodes

Abstract

This paper will discuss the progress towards UV-laser diodes with emission wavelengths <280 nm by improving AlGaN quantum well active regions with high optical gain, low losses waveguides, and efficient carrier injection and confinement.
