Outcoupling enhancement in OLEDs: opportunity from high-index and low-index layers

Abstract

Novel device architecture based on high- and/or low-index layers are explored as a way to enhance the efficiency of OLEDs. Green OLEDs with external quantum efficiency > 34% are demonstrated and analyzed by trans-scale simulation.
