Engineering exciton formation and high efficiency in graded-emissive layer organic light-emitting devices

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Highly efficient organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) often require the use of multilayered architectures. Here, we instead focus on realizing high efficiency in OLEDs comprising only a single active-layer whose composition is spatially engineered to realize effective charge and exciton confinement.
