Polarization-Independent Dielectric Metasurface Lens for Absorption Enhancement in Thin Solar Cells

Abstract

The absorption of a thin solar cell is increased by integrating a metasurface lens inside the cell. The numerical results show 30% enhancement in the short circuit current for both TM and TE polarizations of the incident light.
