Abstract

550ppm bismuth doped lithium and yttrium germanosilicate preforms were fabricated through MCVD with solution-doping. 425nm, 457nm absorptions appeared from Bi centres. 828nm emission under excitation at 430nm, will be helpful to developed ~830nm fiber laser.
