In-amplifier mid-IR supercontinuum generation in low-loss non-silica glass fibers

Abstract

We report efficient mid-infrared supercontinuum generation in a low-loss erbium-doped fluoride glass fiber amplifier simultaneously diode-pumped at 976 nm and seeded with 400 picosecond pulses at 2.75 µm.
