A Novel Dual-Core Photonic Crystal Fiber Coupler With A Metal Wire

Abstract

We report a novel fiber coupler design with plasmonics effect. The coupling length is reduced by 40 times in the near infrared region. The air hole diameter and the pitch size will affect coupler performance.
