Novel Ion-Implanted VCSEL Structures

Abstract

We describe the design and performance of VCSEL’s which have low thresholds and high quantum efficiency for practicality, are made with only photolithographically defined features for reproducibility, and easily integrate with electronic circuitry for usefulness.
