Recent Advances in ‘Trapped Rainbow’ Techniques for Stopping Light

Abstract

We provide an overview of ‘trapped rainbow’ techniques for stopping light. We show that guided modes with real propagation consrtant and complex frequency can be ‘trapped rainbow’-stopped even in the presence of waveguide losses.
